Biography
Sung Won Yoon is currently working as a professor in Chungwoon University Nursing school, department of Nursing. She worked as Investigator of Joint Commission Accreditation in Korea from March 2010 to 2012. She is a Clinical Professor, Graduate School, Clinical Science & Infection Control in Ulsan University, Asan Medical Center (AMC) from March 2002 to August 2012. She worked as Infection Control Manager & Hospital Epidemiologist, Infection Control Office, Sam sung Medical Centre (SMC) from May 1996 to Aug 2012. She also worked as Vice President of Korean Organization of Society for Nosocomial Infection Control from February 1998 to 2000 and from Feb 2004–2006. She is also a Ex-President & Senior Consultant of Korean Association of Infection Control Nurses from February 1998 to August 2018. She was certified in Infection Control (C.I.C) at U.S.A. She was Ambassador for SHEA (Society of Healthcare Epidemiology in America) in 2012. She has done her PhD in Public Health & Nursing, Han Yang University (Seoul, Korea) in August 2001. Concentrations: CRBSI, SSI, MRSA, VRE, CRGNB infection control & prevention Thesis: Efficacy of Infection Control Strategies for Vancomycin- Resistant Enterococci in a Tertiary Care Hospital in Korea: A 4- year follow up study, Infection control and hospital epidemiology She has completed her M.A. in Public health & epidemiology, Seoul National University (Seoul, Korea) February 1983 and also B.A in Nursing, Han yang University (Seoul, Korea).
